Nail Stickers!

Hubs is away on a business trip {in NYC - we had to dig his winter coat out of storage!}, so I'm taking this opportunity to do a whole bunch of girly things I can't always do with Mr. Curieuse. It's not so much that I CAN'T do them with Hubs, it's just that we have different levels of appreciation for fairly gender-specific activities.  Like, for example, adventures in nail art.  We hardly see each other on week days and I don't want to waste precious weekend time on activities only one of us can enjoy.  But, it was a perfect activity for last night, when he had safely cleared out of Dodge.

Even though I use good nail polish {OPI, Essie, Butter London} and apply it meticulously, my manicures ALWAYS have chips within 2 days, sometimes less.  So, I decided to try out these nail stickers everyone's raving about.  Since these would presumably be on my nails Monday morning, I chose one of the more conservative prints {if there is such a thing} so as not to frighten my co-workers.  This box was about $10 from Tarjay.

I watched a few online tutorials {this one is a little long, but so helpful}, and was ready to start sticking.

This was actually pretty easy, and the end result is so much fun!

I applied a top coat on top of the stickers, just in case.  We'll see how long they last!
Has anyone else tried these?  What did you think?

These are so cute and fun! This is a lame question, but does the extra part peel off your skin easily? I hope they held up well!

@Julie the excess peels off pretty easily - the kit comes with a tool (similar to a nail buffer) that you use to rub the sticker onto the nail bed. Since the rest of the sticker isn't rubbed into your skin, it's pretty easy to peel or rub off. Pretty user-friendly if you go slow!

I've seen this, but have yet to try them. Update us on how they hold up!
